Tales of the Walking Dead new teaser – You want to try something new?
By Renee Hansen
Tales of the Walking Dead is a spinoff of The Walking Dead that will give viewers six brand new standalone stories this summer. This anthology-based series will be an outstanding addition to The Walking Dead universe as it will widen the reach beyond the narrow view of Alexandria, Hilltop, and other communities that have been the central focus.
Tales of TWD will introduce many new characters and feature some already introduced in the flagship series. The only confirmed known character is played by Samantha Morton and known as Alpha, leader of the Whispers but is labeled as Dee in the promo photo. From the new teaser, it does appear we will be getting an early story at the onset of the outbreak featuring Morton’s character, who was formerly known only as Alpha. Fans have long speculated that her real name was Debroah, which she used when infiltrating the Kingdom’s carnival. That could be shortened to Dee, or AMC could use this label to throw us off.

A surprising new teaser has been released ahead of Tales of TWD’s appearance at Comic Con 2022, where AMC will host a panel with several in attendance. The panel will be moderated by Chris Hardwick, host of Talking Dead, who will be joined by Chief Content Officer of The Walking Dead Universe, Scott M. Gimple, Showrunner and EP Channing Powell, and Director and EP Michael Satrazemis. They will be joined by cast members Terry Crews, Samantha Morton, and Danny Ramirez, with additional cast pending.
Tales of the Walking Dead teaser
The new teaser for Tales of the Walking Dead gives viewers a much better glimpse of what this series will entail. The tone is defiantly that of an apocalypse, but there appears to be a lot of humor spattered in as well.
Tales of the Walking Dead release date
AMC will release Tales of TWD on Sunday, August 15 at 9 p.m. AMC+ will premiere the first two episodes on that same day, with the remaining episodes one week early.
