6. The Walking Dead episode 409: Michonne fights the future

It takes a lot to get a character to make a big revelation on The Walking Dead and thankfully this moment was a turning point for Michonne, who had previously lived the life of a loner and walked among the dead thanks to her pets.

Episode 409 found Michonne back in that familiar situation, but her mindset changed when she saw a walker with some of the same characteristics as her. It was as if she was looking into a mirror as she drew her sword and downed the walker.

But she wasn’t done there. She continued to wipe out walkers in a dramatic fashion as if to say that she was done walking with the dead and wanted to be with humans instead, allowing her to open up more to Rick’s group.

The symbolism went even further when she eliminated her pets as well before catching her breath. It was at this moment that the loner Michonne who lived among the dead ceased to exist and the new Michonne who is opening the door to human life returned.
