1. The Walking Dead episode 414: Look at the flowers

Let’s be honest. If you remember season 4 of The Walking Dead, you likely would have chosen the “look at the flowers” moment as not only the most powerful scene from the season but possibly the series as a whole.

Most mercy killings happen in the AMC drama when a character has been bit or injured to the point where survival is impossible. For Carol to be forced to end the life of a physically healthy young lady was tough to see.

It had to be done though. Lizzie was a massive threat to not only herself but everyone around her. She killed her sister Mika, nearly killed Judith twice, and thought of walkers as her friends instead of a massive threat to survival.

The scene is enhanced by an amazing performance from Melissa McBride whose face showed all the pain it would take in order to do what needed to be done in this situation. It was emotional, powerful, and changed the scope of the show forever.
