The Walking Dead: Who portrays Judith Grimes in season 11
By Renee Hansen
The Walking Dead series has several lovable child characters who fans feel should be protected at all costs, but one set in the fandom’s hearts is Judith Grimes. Fans have watched her from the day of her emotional birth when her mother Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies) died to give her life. She and her brother RJ ( Antony Azor) carry on the Grimes legacy of their father Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and brother Carl (Chandler Riggs).
Throughout the series, Judith has been played by several actresses.

The Walking Dead – Cailey Fleming
After Rick Grimes was blown up at the bridge, the series experienced a six-year jump, and at that time, Cailey Fleming would take on the role of Judith. She made quite the appearance wearing the Sheriff hat passed from her father to her brother to herself, carrying her father’s revolver and a mini version of her mother Michonne’s (Danai Gurira) katana.
Since then, we have watched Judith shoulder more burdens than any child should, and she has done it with the bravery most adults couldn’t muster. She even encouraged her mother to search for her father when it was discovered he didn’t die during the bridge explosion. She has never confided this information to anyone for fear they, too, would go off in search of Rick.
In season 11, Judith entered the Commonwealth, initially with Uncle Daryl (Norman Reedus), but in part two, she and RJ were being cared for by Carol (Melissa McBride). She has gotten to see a bit of what life was like before the outbreak, even enjoying cotton candy for the first time, a treat the Fleming herself isn’t fond of.
With the announcement of the Rick and Michonne spinoff series, fans have questioned whether Judith and RJ will be reunited with their parents? One would think this would eventually happen, but it has been speculated that the first season of this series will focus on individual stories of what they experienced during their time apart.
Fleming attended the final panel at Comic Con 2022, and she has grown up so much since we last saw her on screen.
