Fear the Walking Dead’s Nick Stahl cast in thriller, Informant

Deadline reports that Fear the Walking Dead and Dead in the Water actor Nick Stahl (Riley) has been cast in a new film titled Informant. He will star with Dominic Purcell and Kate Bosworth and be reunited with Mel Gibson. Stahl and Gibson starred together in the 1993 film Man without a Face.
Informant is directed by Michael Oblowitz, who also co-wrote the film with Michael Kaycheck and Brooke Nasser. The film follows the story of a police detective who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and, to ensure his family is taken care of when he is gone, sets up a plan to be killed in the line of duty. This will allow his family to get the best bureau benefits. He talks his best friend and partner into helping him cover up the plan.
The film is currently in production.
Nick Stahl – current projects
On August 5, Stahl will star with Walking Dead universe actor Robert Patrick (Mays on TWD) in the gothic horror, What Josiah Saw. Stahl plays Patrick’s estranged son, who, along with his sister, returns home after two decades to their father and younger brother to close a haunting chapter of their lives.
Stahl also stars with fellow TWDU actors Kevin Caroll (Virgil on TWD) and Zeljko Ivanek (Isle of the Dead) in a series for Showtime, Let the Right One In. This series is an adaptation of the vampire drama novel of the same title. Two movies have been made based on the book, a 2008 Swedish film and in 2010, Let Me In, directed by Matt Reeves. The series begins on October 7.
