The Tales of the Walking Dead spinoff series has added a huge lineup of members to our TWD family. Several of these actors, including Danny Ramirez, will be very familiar to viewers. He will play a character named Eric and an upcoming episode of season 1 of this series.
It hasn’t been announced which episode Ramirez will star in, but from the official trailer, we can see he co-stars with Daniella Pineda as Idalia.
In an interview with Collider, Ramirez shared that each episode of this series has its own tone. He goes on to highlight the fact that each episode plays with different genres within one genre.
He feels that what makes this series exciting is the six different stories with their own approach to a zombie apocalypse.
Danny Ramirez – Look Both Ways
On August 17, Ramirez will star in a Netflix original movie, Look Both Ways. Directed by Wanuri Kahiu and written by April Prosser, the film follows Natalie (Lili Reinhart) as she lives out parallel versions of her life.
She is about to come to a crossroads in life while waiting on the results of a pregnancy test. In one version, where Ramirez plays Gabe, she becomes pregnant and moves back to her hometown of Austin. In the other scenario, she isn’t pregnant, so she moves to Los Angeles to pursue her dream career. The stories play out over several years as Natalie experiences love and rediscovers herself.
Ramirez is also well known for his roles in Stars at Noon, Top Gun: Maverick, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Valley Girl, On My Block, The Gifted and Orange Is the New Black.
He also stars in Root Letter, a film about an impoverished teen who received a note from a pen pal he lost touch with over a year ago. She has disappeared, and he will use the clues in her letters to solve the mystery of her disappearance and the crimes she may have been involved in. This is set to release on September 1.
