The Walking Dead series is on hiatus during its eleventh and final season. All of the attention and hype is fixated on the next spinoff series, Tales of the Walking Dead, as that series premieres on AMC on Sunday, August 14 at 9 p.m. ET. This new series is anthology based, featuring six standalone stories for its first season, and will introduce many new characters to The Walking Dead universe.
The flagship series only has eight remaining episodes to close out its story, and from the looks of the official trailer that was released at Comic Con 2022, things will be action pack until the very end. The battle will enter the gates of the Commonwealth as well as a horde of walkers requiring our survivors to “finish the fight.”
Viewers know that several of our characters have secured their survival, including Maggie, Negan, Carol and Daryl, but what about the numerous others near and dear to our hearts? That trailer sees many of them in dire situations that you know some won’t make it out of alive.
The Walking Dead season 11 part 3 release date
On Sunday, October 2, on AMC at 9 p.m. ET, the first episode of the last eight will air. Things will pick up where we left off in the midseason finale. Lance Hornsby and the Commonwealth had taken over our survivor’s communities. In contrast, Maggie, Daryl, Aaron, Gabe, and the others have exiled themselves from the Commonwealth by taking up arms against them.
Back at the Commonwealth, Connie and her crew have been digging up dirt on the powerful Milton family, going so far as to distribute a rogue publication notifying the Commonwealth residents of their underhanded dealings.
It is bittersweet as fans know the end of The Walking Dead is near. But, luckily we have numerous spinoff series to fill the void.
