Fans of The Walking Dead will have a bit of a wait for the next new episode of the series. On October 2, AMC will air the first episode of season 11, part 3. This segment of eight episodes will complete the flagship series story allowing for the continued stories that will be featured in several spinoffs. The first new spinoff to air is Tales of the Walking Dead.

This spinoff features six episodes in its first season, all stand-alone stories introducing several new characters. The unique thing about this series is that each episode takes place in a different part of the country at different times during the apocalypse. This concept is an excellent addition to The Walking Dead universe as viewers get a broader view of how the outbreak has affected different parts of the country and how different people have handled the situation.

Keep in mind this series is “stand-alone,” so you can still enjoy it if you have never watched an episode of The Walking Dead.

Tales of the Walking Dead – when to watch

Tales of the Walking Dead premieres on AMC on August 14 at 9 p.m. ET. The first episode is available on AMC+, with the second premiering on August 14.

Episode schedule (with episodes airing one week early on AMC+)

101 – “Evie/Joe” – August 14, 2022

102- “Blair/Gina” – August 21, 2022

103- “Dee” – August 28, 2022

104- “Amy/Dr. Everett” – September 4, 2022

105- “Davon” – September 11, 2022

106- “La Doña” – September 18, 2022

The press previewed the first four episodes, each one being unique, bringing something new to the universe. The standout so far has been “Dee,” which is the episode that sees Samantha Morton reprise her role as Alpha during a time when she was known as Dee. But, I did enjoy each episode as they all had their own merits.
