Ethan McDowell is known for his portrayal of Washington, one of the Reapers, in the final season of The Walking Dead. He was one of the last members of his group that was killed by Maggie (Lauren Cohan) during episode 1109, “No Other Way.” McDowell currently stars in Ms. Marvel as Agent Barrie and as August Payne in the newly released Netflix thriller Echoes.

The new series, Echoes (stylized as ECHO∃S), is an Australian thriller that premiered on Netflix on August 19 and is already sitting at number two on the Netflix Top 10 TV shows list. The series was created by Australian director, producer, and writer Vanessa Gazy who serves as the showrunner with Brian Yorkey (13 Reasons Why), Quinton Peeples (Runaways) and Imogen Banks.

The story follows identical twin sisters, Leni and Gina, played by Michaelle Monaghan, who have swapped places since childhood, leading double lives. They share two homes, two husbands, and a child. But, everything comes crashing down when their secret becomes dangerous, and one of them mysteriously disappears.

In addition to McDowell and Monaghan, the series stars Matt Bomer, Daniel Sunjata, Ali Stroker, Karen Robinson, Rosanny Zayas, Michael O’Neill, Celia Weston, Gable Swanlund and Jonathan Tucker.
