Tales of the Walking Dead, Dee

The third episode, “Dee,” will air Sunday, August 28, and feature a familiar face. Samantha Morton will reprise her role as Alpha in this episode much earlier in her story before she became leader of the Whisperers. Scarlett Blum will reprise her role as a young Lydia, who was seen in flashback scenes in the main series.

During this episode, Alpha is known as Dee, and she and Lydia have been living with a group on a river boat for about a year. Dee still seems to be quite the outsider, always untrusting of those around her. She keeps an eagle eye on her daughter, and in this episode, she begins to teach Lydia the ways of the cruel world they find themselves in.

Additional cast members for this episode include Lauren Glazier as Brooke, Eric Tiede as Nolan, Rachael Markarian as Jenna, Nick Basta as Billy, Marvin LaViolette as Todd, Juan Carlos Flores as Mitch, Anne Beyer as Hera, Natalie Karp as Erika, George Bryant as Mr. Langston, AriLoeb as Seventh Man and Johnny Alexander as Tough Guy.

This episode is an excellent new chapter in Alpha’s life and how she let go of Dee and transformed into Alpha or perhaps became who she always was. Morton’s performance is, once again, outstanding as she continues to portray Alpha as the hardened, cold, sadistic character viewers know from the flagship series.

“Dee” will air on AMC Sunday, August 28 at 9 p.m. ET and is now available on AMC+.
