The Walking Dead season 2 began airing on October 16, 2011. The season premiere picked up where season 1 left off after the CDC explosion. The group of survivors found themselves stopped by a pileup of abandoned cars on the highway, and soon after, Sophia (Madison Lintz) goes missing, and Carl (Chandler Riggs) gets shot. They will eventually find refuge on the Greene Family farm.

By the end of season 2, things get crazy. Rick (Andrew Lincoln) kills Shane (Jon Bernthal), Carl has to shoot the undead Shane, a horde overruns the farm, and the survivors flee the farm leaving Andrea, who they thought was killed by a walker, alone on her own in the dark.

After escaping the horde at the farm and being scattered, the group reconnects, and this is when Rick confides in what Dr. Jenner (Noah Emmerich) told him, “We’re all infected.” Rick didn’t believe him until he saw Shane reanimate without being bit. Most of the group was furious with him for not disclosing this information. That night they are still discussing if Rick is someone who should be leading them or not when he tells them maybe they would be better off without him, daring them to leave. No one moves, and this is when he tells them, “This isn’t a democracy anymore.”

The Walking Dead classic scenes

The second scene in this video is from the season 3 premiere, “Seeds,” when we see Lori’s (Sarah Wayne Callies) advancing pregnancy. The group has been on the run and in dire need of food and a safe place to call home. Carl has become quite the marksman, and Daryl has stepped into the role of Rick’s number two. They stop at a house briefly to catch their breaths and head on. In this episode, they will come upon the prison that will eventually be their home.

The final scene in the classic scenes video is from season 2, “Cherokee Rose.” It is the scene where Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Glenn (Steven Yeun) go on the pharmacy run. You would think the shocking part of the pharmacy run was Glenn discovering that Lori asked for a pregnancy test, but much more happens than anyone, especially Glenn, could have imagined.

The Walking Dead’s YouTube page features many classic scenes. The ones described above can be viewed in the video below.
