The Walking Dead series is currently on hiatus amid its final season. The series has had a fantastic run over 12 years and will end with eight episodes in the fall of 2022. Fans are anxious to view the final episodes while dreading the end of their favorite show that began way back on Halloween night, 2010.

AMC will air the first of the final eight episodes on October 2, 2022, at 9 p.m. ET. On this same date, AMC+ will air episodes 1117 and 1118, with subsequent episodes airing one week early.

The episode titles announced so far:

1117 “Lockdown”

1118 “A New Deal”

1119 “Variant”

1120 “What’s Been Lost”

1121 “Outpost 22”

The series finale will air on November 20 with much fanfare. A huge fan event is being organized in Los Angeles, as well as numerous local events to celebrate the end of The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead season 11 part 3

There are many loose ends left to wrap in the last episodes, and the trailer looks action-packed, putting several of our survivors in life-or-death situations. Viewers know several characters are safe, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Daryl (Norman Reedus), and Carol (Melissa McBride), but what about the others? It wouldn’t be a final season without some losses.

The first two episodes’ synopsis has been released, and episode 1117 will hit the ground running with Daryl and Negan heading to the Commonwealth to protect their families. After the rogue publication that Connie (Lauren Ridloff) and crew distributed, Governor Pamela Milton (Laila Robins) will have to deal with citizens protesting, demanding justice for Sebastian’s (Teo Rapp-Olson) crimes.

CW military leader Mercer (Michael James Shaw) enlists Rosita (Christian Serratos) to assist him in fighting off a horde. In true Carol form, she petitions Milton to aid her friends who have gotten on the wrong side of CW leaders.  Aaron (Ross Marquand), Jerry (Cooper Andrews), Lydia (Cassady McClincy), and Elijah (Okea Eme-Akwari) will trek to Oceanside to tell them of a plan, but what will they discover when they arrive in that community?

And during all this, the Commonwealth will still find time to celebrate Founder’s Day. That is all in just the first two episodes!
