The third episode of Tales of The Walking Dead reveals our latest survival rule of the week, namely, that in a zombie apocalypse, trust is a two-sided coin.

This week’s episode of Tales of The Walking Dead focused on Dee (Better known to most of us as Alpha, leader of the Whisperers) and a young Lydia, at least a year after the death of Lydia’s father, Frank, as the pair adjust to their new existence as part of a group of survivors living on a riverboat somewhere in the swamps of the southeastern U.S.

Not surprisingly, Dee is, even after all this time, not that well adjusted to her new group, finding herself at odds with the group’s leader, a fitness instructor named Brooke. Dee seems to distrust her, feeling like she’s trying to horn in on Dee’s relationship with Lydia, which has not been the same since her father’s death.

And it’s that what I want to focus on in this week’s The Walking Dead, Survival Rule Of The Week: Trust. As I watched this week’s episode, I felt like we were watching two sides of the same coin, being shown both how vital trust (And distrust) are in a zombie apocalypse but also how too much of either can become a major problem. This week, we’re going to look into not only the good and bad aspects of having trust in a zombie apocalypse but also the good and bad aspects of not having trust and how they can affect your efforts to survive.
