The third episode of Tales of The Walking Dead is in the books, which means that it’s time for another installment of Things To Note! Last week’s episode of Tales of The Walking Dead featured Dee, better known to most of us as Alpha, the dangerous and nefarious leader of the Whisperers in seasons nine and ten of The Walking Dead, and her daughter, Lydia, making this the first (And, at the moment, only) episode of Tales to feature a returning character from an earlier series.

Of course, the mere fact she’s being referred to by her actual name and not “Alpha” means that this is not the story of the woman we would know as the Whisperers’ leader but a glimpse into the life of the woman who would become her, showing us the first real steps into that transformation.

This isn’t the only detail I’ve taken notice of, though. In fact, Things To Note is my effort to collect all of the little details of each Walking Dead episode — All of the clues, hints, references, and bits of trivia — and amass them all in one place so that, when each episode re-airs, you don’t have to go looking for them. I have to say, this week’s episode had plenty to sift through, including one big detail that completely changes what had already been established about Alpha and raises a big question about the nature of what Tales of The Walking Dead really is.
