Tales of the Walking Dead season 1

11) As Billy explains his plan to the riverboat group, it appears that he adheres to some kind of weird “Survival of the fittest” mentality, as he specifically eliminated Mr. Langston (and considered a similar fate for Erika) because he deemed Langston “too old”.

12) After fleeing the riverboat, Dee winds up coating herself (and a reluctant Lydia) in walker blood. Obviously, this is the first time she used the tactic to help her and Lydia to mask themselves from walkers something we’d see them use to try to evade walkers in The Walking Dead episode “Omega”, wherein the pair met Beta.

13) If we’re to assume that Brooke’s statement about the pirate attack is accurate, this means that Nolan, Jenna, Billy, Todd, Erika, Margot, Louise, and Mitch are all dead. This would make them the second through ninth named characters confirmed to die in this episode and the fourth through eleventh named characters to die in Tales (not counting Agent Rogers).

14) At the end of this episode, it is revealed that the “fairies” Lydia believed she was hearing were, in fact, the Whisperers. This doesn’t make sense. According to the established backstory for Alpha in The Walking Dead, she was the one who introduced the idea of wearing walkers skins as masks to Beta, who used his best friend’s face as the first of its kind. Either this is a major inconsistency or these two backstories for Alpha are separate from one another. Either way, the ending to this episode doesn’t match what we already know.
