Tales of the Walking Dead – Davon

1) Amanda’s walker calling Davon a murderer is the first instance of a walker talking (Albeit as a hallucination) in Tales of The Walking Dead and the first time we’ve seen the phenomena since at least the finale of season ten of The Walking Dead, “A Certain Doom”, wherein Beta heard the Whisperers’ horde of walkers talking to him.

2) This episode’s title sequence features a lone walker walking down a cobblestone street at night next to a cemetery.

3) This episode marks the first time that a character is hallucinating so badly that not only is a walker talking to them but also walking alongside them, despite that character killing said walker at the beginning of the episode.

4) Since we know that Amanda’s walker was killed by Davon, this means that all the scenes of her “walking” with him are, more than likely, Davon actually dragging or carrying her, which also means that his journey back to Madawaska was much more arduous than what we saw.

5) According to Davon’s more coherent flashback, his story begins seven weeks prior to the beginning of the episode. This does not, however, give us any idea how far into the apocalypse we actually are. That said, according to Embeth Davidtz (Amanda) on AMC.com, she was under the belief that this episode takes place fifteen years into the apocalypse, which would make it the furthest in the Walking Dead timeline.
