Jeffrey Dean Morgan teases The Walking Dead: Dead City sneak peek

The Walking Dead: Dead City is one of several upcoming spinoff series in The Walking Dead universe. This series recently received a title change from the originally released The Walking Dead: Isle of the Dead and will feature fan-favorite characters from the flagship series Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan). This spinoff is among the others that will air sometime in 2023, after the main series completes its run in November 2022.

Dead City will take Negan and Maggie to Manhattan, where a horde of walkers, one million strong, has overrun the island. Filming for this series has been going strong in New Jersey, and Morgan recently teased fans with a behind the scenes photos of him with Cohan on Instagram.

In  the photo’s caption, Morgan says it “feels like we are making something special.” He goes on to say that he wouldn’t want to do this series with anyone other than Cohan.

” We can’t wait to show you something… soon I think. Xxjd”

This is an exciting statement eluding to the fact that fans will soon get either some photos or perhaps a teaser to give more insight into what this series will entail.

What is Dead City about?

Little is known about Dead City other than Negan and Maggie head to Manhattan, and the island was cut off from the mainland early after the outbreak when the US government blew up the bridges and tunnels. With a horde of one million strong, the island is overrun, requiring the humans who live there to reside above the 10th story and travel via ziplines.
