Tovah Feldshuh joins Harlan Coben’s Shelter series on Prime Video

Deadline reports that The Walking Dead’s Tovah Feldshuh has been cast in a recurring role in Harlan Coben’s latest series, Shelter. Feldshuh is well known in The Walking Dead universe for her portrayal of the leader of Alexandria, Deanna Monroe.
Coben’s newest series, Shelter, will be an Amazon original based on his Mickey Bolitar young adult series of books. Mickey is the nephew of Myron Bolitar, a famous protagonist featured in other works by Coben.
The story follows high school student Mickey (Jaden Michael), who struggles with several things, including a mother in rehab, a dead father, his annoying aunt, and starting a new school in New Jersey. Feldshuh will play a character, Bat Lady, a wraith-like recluse who brings a disturbing piece of news to Mickey (Jaden Michael).
Mickey befriends Ashley Kent, who is also a new student and has her own set of tragic life events. When Ashley goes missing, Mickey realizes she wasn’t truthful about her circumstances, and he must get to the bottom of her disappearance and his father’s death, or he could be in grave danger.
Additional casting includes Constance Zimmer, Adrian Greensmith, Abby Corrigan and Sage Linder, with Brian Altemus joining the cast as Troy.
Tovah Feldshuh – other projects
Feldshuh currently stars in the Broadway production of Funny Girl as Mrs. Brice opposite Lea Michele’s Fanny Brice. Ramin Karimloo joins them as Nick Arnstein and Jared Grimes as Eddie Ryan. You can purchase tickets to this production via the Funny Girl website.
On October 28, you can see her in the drama film Armageddon Time with Anne Hathaway, Anthony Hopkins, Jeremy Strong, Michael Banks Repeta, Jaylin Webb, Ryan Sell, Dane West, Andrew Polk, Jacob MacKinnon, Domenick Lambardozzi, John Diehl, and Jessica Chastain. Feldshuh plays Mickey Rabinowitz, grandmother to Repeta’s Paul.
Other recent projects include Baked in Brooklyn, Chicago Justice, Salvation, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Star Wars Resistance, Scenes from a Marriage and Clifford the Big Red Dog. She has three other new projects, Bleecker, Dirty Rhetoric and A Girl Like Him.
