Michael Cudlitz – The Walking Dead and more

Cudlitz was well known for many roles before starring in The Walking Dead. Fans knew him from Band of Brothers, Southland, Grosse Point Blank, Standoff and many more. When it was announced he would portray Abraham Ford on TWD, his fans knew he would do a great job in this role.

Abraham was introduced in season 4 with Eugene (Josh McDermitt) and Rosita (Christian Serratos), who are still alive in the final season. He had a short temper but was courageous, and his wit outweighed any flaws in his character. He met his demise at the end of Negan’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) Lucille, his barbed wire-wrapped bat, but even then, his courage didn’t waver. He took the first blow to the head, rose up, and told Negan to “Suck…my…nuts.” It was a classic Abraham line and fitting for him to go out in this way, even though it was brutal for fans to watch.

Cudlitz would return to direct episodes of The Walking Dead in seasons 9, 10 and 11. He would also direct an episode of the second spinoff series, The Walking Dead: World Beyond.

After leaving the series, he would star in The Kids are Alright, Clarice, Bosch: Legacy, and Red Stone. He would also join several Walking Dead alums to lend his voice in the Prime Video original animated series, Invincible.

Next, Cudlitz will star in a drama, Manifest West, which has a release date of November 11, 2022, and a crime drama, Unspoken, which is also expected this year.
