AMC and The Walking Dead has compiled a fantastic documentary, Meet the Generation Dead documentary, featuring super fans and chronicles what this show means to so many people. It is always said this fandom is the best that has ever been created, and TWD Family is truly a family comprised of not only the cast and crew but the fans as well.

This documentary follows the father and son duo of Benjamin Younger and Lamontre Grant and their story of how this series strengthened their bond and what it has meant to them over the past 12 years. They visit the town of Senoia, Georgia, where much of the series was filmed, and take viewers on part of their tour.

Throughout the video, you will recognize several of the fans as they are people who are well known within TWD Family. Undead Walking contributor Caitlyn Richardson is featured in this documentary which makes us incredibly proud.

Directed by Raquel Cepeda, who executive produces with Sacha Jenkins, Kevin Dreyfuss, and Katherine Dore, this video is the epitome of what TWD Family means.

Get your tissues ready, and give this a watch.

The Walking Dead: Meet The Generation Dead

You probably get mixed reactions when you tell people you are a super fan of The Walking Dead. Some will think it’s not a big deal as they have a series they are super fans of but others will give you the whole “That show’s still on?” line or another equally ridiculous response. But, unless you are a part of this fandom, you will never understand the depths of people’s devotion to the series, the cast and their TWD Family members.

I have made so many friends from being part of this fandom, several of them from other countries that I have never met other than online. But, the friendship, the love, and the bond we share is second to none. I talk to some of these people more often than friends who live near me.

I changed my career to focus solely on this series and my writing, and I have never been happier. The outpouring of love I have received from others who love this show as much as I do is unbelievable.

My heartfelt thanks goes out to each and every person who has anything to do with this series and to everyone who considers themselves part of TWD Family.

Next. Why the TWD Family is one of the best fandoms out there. dark
