Garret Dillahunt was a fan favorite in Fear the Walking Dead for his portrayal of John Dorie. He was introduced in season 4, and fans immediately loved the calm, intelligent gunslinger. He found love in the apocalypse with June (Jenna Elfman) and was tragically killed in season 6. Since his departure from the series Dillahunt has been a busy man, you can see him in the new Netflix film Blonde.

Based on a book by Joyce Carol Oates, Blonde is a fictionalized version of the career of actress Marilyn Monroe. Written and directed by Andrew Dominik with Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Tracey Landon, Brad Pitt, and Scott Robertson producing.

Blonde had several release dates with the world on September 8 at the 79th Venice International Film Festival. The movie then saw a limited theatrical release on September 16, with a Netflix release date of September 28.

The film has had mixed reviews, but Ana de Armas, who portrays the titular movie legend, has received rave reviews for her performance. Critics are split on Dominik’s spin on Monroe’s life and his nontraditional biopic.
