By Renee Hansen
In less than a week, The Walking Dead will premiere the first of its final eight episodes. The series has had a good run with 11 seasons and several spinoffs. Fans of the series are anxious to see what is to come up in the third part of season 11 while at the same time dreading the beginning of the end.
On October 2, AMC will air episode 17 of season 11 of The Walking Dead. The episode is titled “Lockdown” and is written by Julia Ruchman and directed by Greg Nicotero. The synopsis sounds as if things will begin soon after the events of the midseason finale.
Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) make their way to the Commonwealth to ensure that Deputy Governor Lance Hornsby (Josh Hamilton) doesn’t harm their families. Governor Pamela Milton (Laila Robins) is forced to deal with the uprising from the residents of the Commonwealth as they demand justice for the crimes of her son Sebastian (Teo Rapp-Olson). Meanwhile, Mercer (Michael James Shaw) and Rosita (Christian Serratos) must work together to fight the impending horde.

The video begins with Judith Grimes’ (Cailey Fleming) narration with flashback scenes from earlier episodes. At about the 30-second mark, we get a taste of what is to come as the midseason premiere opens.
Daryl kills several walkers and shouts clear as Maggie enters from clearing the hallway of walkers. They hear gunshots and see Hornsby and his soldiers taking down more walkers outside. He tells them to search everywhere as this ends here. He is hunting down Daryl and Maggie after they came against him in the midseason finale. They are ready to take on Hornsby and his soldiers “one by one.”
