Michael Cudlitz, who played Abraham Ford in The Walking Dead, and Annet Mahendru, who played Huck in the limited spinoff series, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, both star in the movie Manifest West now streaming.
Set as a coming-of-age film, the story follows a family who decides to live off the grid and is viewed from the daughter’s perspective. Mahendru portrays Alice Hayes, wife to Milo Gibson’s Dave, with Lexy Kolker as Riley and Madison Friedman as Mary, their daughters. The trailer depicts a perfect little family who sells everything and travels to the wild to live simpler lives.
One claim to fame the movie has is that two of actor Mel Gibson’s sons are involved, Milo Gibson as an actor and Louie Gibson, who directs with Joe Dietsch. This movie isn’t all sunshine and roses, as seen in the trailer below. Things take a turn, and the idyllic life that was initially presented appears to turn south. The mountaineer’s mannerism seems to wear off on Dave, and when child protective services arrive, viewers know something else is happening.
Cudlitz portrays the Hayes family’s neighbor with Dionne Audain as his wife, Susie.
