The Walking Dead’s final trailer for season 11, part 3, has been released by Entertainment Weekly.  It is more of a promo with a look at some things we’ve already seen with additional clips added. One significant addition is that it appears Eugene (Josh McDermott) is on trial.

On October 2, The Walking Dead returns to AMC with the first of its final eight episodes. The teasers and trailers show lots of action as our survivors come against the Commonwealth and a horde of walkers descending on that community.

Eugene has made numerous mistakes since his arrival to the Commonwealth, and now it appears things have caught up to him. And, to top it off, Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura) could be the one prosecuting him, as she has been employed by Governor Milton (Laila Robins).

We also see Mercer (Michael James Shaw) in a fight with a Commonwealth soldier. Will he flip sides as many have thought he would as the underhanded dealing of Lance Hornsby (Josh Hamilton) and Sebastian Milton (Teo Rapp-Olson) have been discovered?

And that horde making its way to the Commonwealth, showrunner Angela Kang eluded to the fact that this could be a variant horde. On the recent Talking Dead preview show, Kang discussed the variants and that we have seen different types of walkers but never “en masse.”  This will up the stakes dramatically as we see the walkers breaching the walls.

Since these are the last episodes, we will surely see casualties of some of our favorites. Several have secured their fates with spinoff series, but there are still many favorites who aren’t safe until the final episode airs on November 20.
