Our heartfelt congratulations to Norman Reedus for the honor of receiving the 2,734th star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame. Reedus has portrayed Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead since the beginning and has numerous other memorable roles during his career.
On September 27, 2022, Lupita Sanchez Cornejo, Chair of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, presented Reedus with his star, located in front of Hollywood Toys & Costumes and near Night of the Living Dead creator George A. Romero.
Reedus was accompanied by his fiance Diane Kruger, his son Mingus Reedus and his mother, Marianne Reedus. Guest speakers were Walking Dead director, SFX guru, and Reedus’ business partner Greg Nicotero and fellow Walking Dead actor Jon Bernthal. Others in attendance included Clifton Collins Jr., Scott M. Gimple, and a fantastic number of fans.
Nicotero talked about his friendship with Reedus and how he is such a caring person. He also told the crowd that Reedus has killed him at least 30 times in the series; Nicotero often portrays walkers in the series. Bernthal shared meeting Reedus for the first time and went on to tell of Reedus’ honesty and loving spirit. He brought messages from other Walking Dead cast members, Steven Yeun, Sarah Wayne Callies, and Andrew Lincoln. Bernthal’s speech described a man well-loved by his fans for all the attributes he listed, and it was a fantastic way to honor Reedus on this special day.
Seeing our Walking Dead actors receive the recognition they deserve is fantastic. They have entertained us for 12 years.

Reedus then took the podium to accept the honor and shootout to Nicotero and Bernthal for their friendships and moving speeches. He then thanked his mother and fiance for all they have done and continue to do for him. He gushed about his daughter Nova and told his son Mingus, “you are the proudest thing I have ever done.” He talked about Joann and Tracy, who he doesn’t make a move without consulting. He continued to thank everyone who came to share this occasion with him and his family.
This might be the coolest picture of the day!
