The Walking Dead cast took the stage at New York City Comic Con for the last time. It was a bittersweet event, but one that will go down in the history of TWDU. Not much could be shared about the final episodes, as seven remain yet to air. But, this panel was full of fond memories and emotions about the past 12 years.
Cast members attending the final NYCC panel were Scott M. Gimple, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Lauren Ridloff, Paola Lázaro, Eleanor Matsuura and Michael James Shaw. If you were unable to watch the panel live, you can go to Popverse and watch the recorded version.
Panel moderator and Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick shared that there will be a massive celebration in LA for the series finale on November 20.
Cohan and Morgan, excited to reunite with their TWD cast members, shared that even though they are working on their own series, The Walking Dead: Dead City, it doesn’t feel like The Walking Dead is over. They have been filming the series in New Jersey for several weeks. The exciting news, the series will premiere in April 2023.

The Walking Dead season 11
Scott Gimple talked about wrapping up TWD story. They approached it as they did with Rick Grimes’ (Andrew Lincoln) final episode; what did it all mean? And shared that the stories will have conclusions.
The cast shared fond memories of the series, each bringing a photo to share, highlighting a special memory. The common theme was the camaraderie shared by each cast member, even the newbies.
The first minutes of season 11, episode 18, “A New Deal,” was shared with attendees.
