In the most recent episode of The Walking Dead, we finally saw the death of a semi-major character. This death could send Carol’s (Melissa McBride) well-laid plans to the side as the Commonwealth will undoubtedly want someone’s head for this death.

This article contains spoilers for The Walking Dead season 11, episode 18, “A New Deal.”

During episode 18 of The Walking Dead’s final season, viewers saw the gruesome death of Governor Milton’s (Laila Robins) son Sebastian (Teo Rapp-Olsson).

Lance Hornsby (Josh Hamilton) is still wreaking havoc from the confines of his jail call through the work of his thugs Calhoun (Michael Tourek) and Shira (Chelle Ramos). The duo kills several members of the clean-up crew, careful not to shoot them in the brain to allow them to reanimate within the walls of the Commonwealth.

This happens during the annual Founder’s Day festivities, and the crowd is unprepared to handle a walker attack.

The Walking Dead season 11

Milton’s son is attacked by a walker and killed in front of a group of citizens who stand idly by despite his pleas for help. They aren’t happy with Sebastian and his recently revealed crimes, and frankly, they don’t know how or have the means to kill a walker.

At the beginning of this episode, Carol announced a deal she negotiated with Milton to ensure her family would be free of their crimes if the killing stopped. They would then get the resources needed to rebuild their communities.

In the trailer for the upcoming episode, Eugene (Josh McDermitt) will be the one they go after for Sebastian’s death, as he is the one who shoved the walker toward Sebastian. There have been clips of Eugene in a courtroom. Will he stand trial for Sebastian’s death?

Will Milton pull out of her deal with Carol in response to her son’s death?
