The Walking Dead, season 11 episode 19, A New Deal: Things To Note
By Liam O'Leary
The Walking Dead season 11 episode 18
3) At the end of this episode’s title sequence, in addition to the “A” and “G” in “WALKING” bleeding, now, the first “D” in “DEAD” is bleeding, too. Also, a correction: Last week, I said that the additional scene at the end of the title sequence featured Commonwealth troopers standing before Alexandria, but upon further inspection, it appears to be the Commonwealth itself.
4) As the group prepares to leave the Commonwealth, Maggie and Aaron discuss filling in Rachel and Cyndie about the deal struck with Pamela Milton and checking in on Oceanside’s needs. Apparently, Oceanside won Hornsby’s coin flip at the end of the midseason finale, “Acts Of God”, which went unaddressed in the previous episode.
5) As Carol spots the beginnings of an apparent budding relationship between Elijah and Lydia, the latter apologizes, believing that it could be seen as forgetting about Henry. Unless I’m mistaken, this is the first time he’s been mentioned in this season.
6) After Ezekiel informs Carol that he’s staying at the Commonwealth, we cut to Pamela Milton listening to a recording of her father’s speech at, presumably, the first Founder’s Day, talking about the community’s creation. This is confusing because, as we established at the midseason finale, people are legally not allowed on U.S. currency until after their death, yet, he was on Hornsby’s coin, dated in1982. How does that work out? Shouldn’t that mean he was dead long before the outbreak?
