The Walking Dead, season 11 episode 19, A New Deal: Things To Note
By Liam O'Leary
The Walking Dead – Sebastian
11) While talking to Max in his mother’s office, Sebastian makes it quite clear how cynical he is about the nature of things inside the Commonwealth (To which Max rightly calls him a “spoiled asshole”). That said, to his credit, as he’s talking about rigged the system is, he doesn’t seem terribly happy about it, just resigned to it being the way things are.
12) As Max’s recording of Sebastian laying bare the unfair nature of the system inside the Commonwealth plays after the wrestling match, at the part where he mentions that his mother rigs the lottery, an older man sitting at ringside can be seen and heard saying “I knew it.”
13) Sebastian Milton is the thirty-sixth named character to die this season and the eleventh named citizen of the Commonwealth to die. That last bit is impressive since the first was Jesse only five episodes earlier in “Warlords”.
14) This episode gets its name from the “New Deal” hammered out between Carol and Pamela Milton, the agreement (or disagreement) with it by members of the group driving much of the episode’s story.
