By Renee Hansen
AMC will air The Walking Dead’s season 11, episode 20, on October 23. The episode is titled “What’s Been Lost,” and the synopsis reveals that Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) will be searching for their friends who have disappeared. AMC+ subscribers can view this episode now.
“What’s Been Lost” was written by Erik Mountain, who also wrote the penultimate episode of season 11, “Family,” which airs on November 13. Aisha Tyler has directed episodes of Fear TWD and World Beyond and marks her directorial debut for The Walking Dead with this episode. She also played the role of Mickey on Fear TWD.
The previous episode revealed that Governor Milton (Laila Robins) wanted Eugene (Josh McDermitt) to take the fall for the death of her son Sebastian (Teo Rapp-Olsson). All of our survivors who remain in the Commonwealth had been questioned about Eugene’s whereabouts. Eugene admitted to being responsible for the death and took the fall for Max (Margot Bingham).
Meanwhile, Aaron (Ross Marquand), Jerry (Cooper Andrews), Lydia (Cassady McClincy) and Elijah (Okea Eme-Akwari) ran into a horde of walkers led by a variant on their way to Oceanside.
At the end of the episode, Rosita (Christian Serratos) is kidnapped by two unknown men but not before she gives them a taste of her fighting skills.
The trailer for this episode shows that Governor Milton has removed our survivors from the Commonwealth by force. She is threatening Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura) using her friends and brother Tomi (Ian Anthony Dale) as leverage. And Carol and Daryl have Lance Hornsby (Josh Hamilton). It looks like this episode is going to be a wild ride.
Below are the opening minutes of The Walked Dead 1120, “What’s Been Lost.”
From the first look photos for the episode, we can see that Tomi reappears, Lance is a bloody mess, and we see some great Carol content.
