Walking Dead’s Lauren Ridloff attends Women in Hollywood and more

The Walking Dead’s Lauren Ridloff is an amazing woman. She is a teacher-turned-actress who also happens to be the first deaf superhero for her role as Makkari in Marvel’s Eternals. She was crowned Miss Deaf America (2000 – 2002) and nominated for a Tony for her portrayal of Sarah Norman in the Broadway production Children of a Lesser God. In early 2022, she was given an Honorary Doctorate of Human Letters from Gallaudet University in Washington, DC. This woman is unstoppable. She recently attended Elle Magazine’s Women In Hollywood Celebration In Los Angeles.
The event celebrates several women’s Elle magazine covers as well as film and TV’s evolution as an area where women can thrive. Honorees at this year’s event include Anne Hathaway, Michelle Yeoh, Issa Rae, Olivia Wilde, Sydney Sweeney, Sigourney Weaver, and Ariana DeBose. With an impressive list of attending celebs, including Mindy Kaling, Charlize Theron, Keke Palmer, Hailey Bieber, Kerry Washington, Quinta Brunson, and more.
This was the 29th year of the event, with over 200 in attendance at Getty Center in LA; actor Nick Kroll emceed the event.
Ridloff made quite the impression and shared her delight over the event on Instagram.

It has been a busy week for Ridloff, as she was also a guest speaker at The Attune Digital Employee Experience Summit. This year’s event was held at the Palmer House in Chicago, Illinois. This year’s theme was The Science of Engagement. Ridloff was a headline speaker along with collaboration expert and best-selling author Erica Dhawan and New York Times best-selling author Jon Acuff. They were joined by a large group of speakers for this event.
