On Sunday, October 30, just one day shy of the 12th anniversary of The Walking Dead series premiere, AMC will air the 21st episode of season 11, titled “Outpost 22.” This title comes from the outpost number given to the community formerly known as Alexandria.
Episode 21 will begin shortly after events in the previous episode, “What’s Been Lost.” In episode 20, viewers learned that everyone, including the children, save Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) had been forcibly removed from the Commonwealth to an unknown location.
Aided by Lance Hornsby (Josh Hamilton), Carol and Daryl learned some vital information. One, the Commonwealth has a train in operation, and two, the way to head to the location their family members have been taken to. Hornsby then wore out his usefulness and pulled a gun on the pair, and Carol promptly shot him with an arrow through the neck. (Does that mean we get a walker Hornsby soon?)
The trailer shows that at least Ezekiel (Khary Payton), Kelly (Angel Theory), and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) have been taken to some labor camp for the Commonwealth. The operating train that Lance Hornsby mentioned in the previous episode is also seen.
Daryl threatens someone for taking his kids, and we see Hershel (Kien Michael Spiller) screaming for Maggie (Lauren Cohan). It is a fast-paced preview of episode 21, and our group appears to be joining back together to come after the Commonwealth who took their home.
The Walking Dead final season
Things are moving swiftly toward the final episode. Anyone involved in the fandom has an idea of how the series should end, but it is doubtful that the end will please everyone. Let’s hope it doesn’t go the way of other series where the finale episode has been awful.
