The Walking Dead season 11 episode 21

Unless you absolutely have to, don’t split up in a zombie apocalypse. It’s a dumb idea.

Okay, I’m going to say it: What the hell was Rosita thinking? During this week’s The Walking Dead, after the pair escaped the Commonwealth troopers holding them captive, as they tried to figure out where to find the rest of the group, Rosita suggests to Father Gabriel that they should split up to “cover more ground”.

WHAT?! What kind of a stupid idea is that!?

I will admit that, on occasion, you won’t necessarily have much of a choice but to split up, however, unless you are in one of those rare instances, splitting up in a zombie apocalypse is a terrible idea. For one thing, this is the sort of behavior we always see in horror movies that makes us yell obscenities at the screen because we know how idiotic of an idea it is, practically guaranteeing that whoever does it is going to get picked off by whoever they’re hiding from or trying to find.

On top of that, though, what if they had split up, and one of them found the troopers or the train? What would they do then? Either Gabriel or Rosita would have to go running around trying to figure out where the other one went and end up wasting even more time!

I’ll go into more detail about why later, but just suffice to say that splitting up is, generally, a terrible idea in a zombie apocalypse, and unless you absolutely must…don’t do it.
