We are down to two remaining episodes of The Walking Dead’s final season. It is finally setting in that our favorite show will conclude on November 20, 2022. I don’t think the fandom is ready for this.
Sunday, November 13, the penultimate episode of season 11, “Family,” will air on AMC at 9 p.m. ET. This episode is currently available on AMC+ for subscribers.
Things in this episode will pick up soon after the events of episode 22, “Faith,” where Ezekiel (Khary Payton) was able to rally the exiles at Alexandria, aka Outpost 22, to stand against the Commonwealth. That episode also gave us the trial of Eugene (Josh McDermitt), accused of murdering Sebastian (Teo Rapp-Olsson).
In an amazing but not too unexpected twist, Mercer (Michael James Shaw) finally came to the survivor’s side with the quote of the season, if not the series, “It’s time to F— S— up!” Viewers believed it was only a matter of time before Mercer and his loyal soldiers took arms against Governor Milton (Laila Robins) and her evil ways.
The synopsis for the next episode only reveals that a swarm is headed towards the city, meaning the Commonwealth. The trailer for the episode shows lots of action, including a search for Eugene (Josh McDermitt). Our survivors are coming together to take down the Commonwealth, but that horde in the trailer’s final seconds has fans concerned.
