December marks the time to begin the annual watching of Christmas movies. Many of our Walking Dead actors star in holiday-themed films, but one of the most popular is Love Actually. The reason for the popularity of this specific film within the fandom is that it stars Andrew Lincoln, who portrays Rick Grimes.

Love Actually was released in 2003 and is a British Christmas romantic comedy directed by Richard Curtis of Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill, and Bridget Jones fame. The story follows ten different stories with a wide variety of individuals whose lives are revealed to be interlinked as the story plays out.

Lincoln portrays Mark as a man in love with his best friend’s wife. He has a very famous scene that is often imitated, where he stands at the door declaring his love via cue cards with Christmas music playing on a boombox.

This film has an all-star cast of British actors, including Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, Laura Linney, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Keira Knightley, Martine McCutcheon, Bill Nighy, Rowan Atkinson, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thomas Sangster, January Jones, Martin Freeman, and Billy Bob Thorton as the president of the United States.

In the trailer below, you can catch a glimpse of Lincoln in his famous scene.

Where to stream Love Actually

In 2022 you can stream Love Actually with your subscription via Peacock, Philo, or fuboTV or rent or purchase on Prime Video.

Love Actually is a great feel-good film that begins five weeks before Christmas with a countdown to the holiday and then an epilogue that takes place one month later.

Don’t miss out on the fantastic soundtrack for the film that includes Kelly Clarkson, Dido, Norah Jones, Maroon 5, The Beach Boys, Joni Mitchell, and many more. There is also a rendition of “Christmas is All Around” by Billy Mack, the character played by Bill Nighy.
