Walking Dead actress Christian Serratos cast in lead role for HBO Max
By Renee Hansen
Variety recently reported that The Walking Dead’s Christian Serratos was cast in the lead role of a drama pilot More. Serratos is well known in TWDU for her portrayal of Rosita Espinosa. She joined the series in season 4, and her character met her demise in the series finale episode, “Rest in Peace.”
More has been ordered for a pilot by HBO Max and is inspired by writings by journalist Amy Chozick. She serves as writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner with Natalie Chaidez. Chaidez also serves as executive producer with Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter.
The series follows the tight-knit Lorenz family, a group of Latinas led by their matriarch or mastermind, Leona, played by Ana Ortiz, who replaces Veronica Falcón, who was originally cast in the role. The family is considered the Vanderbilts or Astors of the Instagram era. The storyline parallels that of the Kardasians, with Leona filling the role of “momager,” Kris Jenner, for her family.
