Actress Katelyn Nacon, known for the role of Enid on The Walking Dead, has a new movie coming to theaters in February. Nacon portrayed Enid in the series during seasons 5-9. She was brought into the community of Alexandria and would eventually move to Hilltop as a medical trainee under Siddiq (Avi Nash). She would later become the doctor of that community and die as one of Alpha’s (Samantha Morton) pike victims.  Her latest movie, Linoleum, premiered at the 2022 SXSW Film Festival and will release in theaters on February 24.

Linoleum is written and directed by Colin West, known for Double Walker, and was met with favorable reviews at SXSW and won San Francisco Film Festival’s Sloan Science on Screen Award.

The movie follows the host of a failing children’s science show, Above & Beyond, Cameron Edwin. He lives a rather dull life in Ohio with his family. His childhood dreams of becoming an astronaut are reignited when a mysterious satellite lands in his backyard. He embarks on a mission to make a rocket from the satellite parts, but his obsession with the rocket causes discord in his family life.  A car falling from the sky, a doppelgänger moving in next door, and a friendship with an unusual teen boy lead Cameron to believe there is more going on than he ever could have imagined.

The movie stars Jim Gaffigan as Cameron, Rhea Seehorn as his wife Erin, and Nacon portrays his daughter Nora. Also starring are Gabriel Rush, Tony Shalhoub, Michael Ian Black, Amy Hargreaves, Jay Walker, Roger Hendricks, and West Duchovny.

Nacon shared her excitement with her fans on Twitter.
