The entire series of The Walking Dead is now available to stream on Netflix. The eleventh and final season was released on the streamer in the US on Jan. 6, 2023, and is already sitting in the number two spot behind Ginny & Georgia, which just released season 2 on the streamer.

Fans of the long-running Walking Dead series have most likely watched the final season, but many wait to binge an entire season, avoiding cliffhangers and months-long hiatus. This also gives those who dropped out of the series seasons back the chance to catch up on the whole series or view the final season to see how things conclude.

The final season of The Walking Dead began airing in August 2021 and concluded in November 2022. The last mega season consists of 24 episodes to round out the storyline.

Critics have been harsh in reviews for the final season of The Walking Dead, but die-hard fans have enjoyed the last chapter of the series. Many fair-weather fans have even expressed how much they enjoyed seeing how the stories concluded.

The final season heavily focused on the Commonwealth, a progressive community that appeared to be something magical until the evil underbelly was exposed. By that time, it was too late, and our survivors had to figure out how to reclaim their lives and communities.

The series finale episode featured a short one-year time jump that featured glimpses of where characters landed. This episode closed the doors on many characters but left several open for at least three new spinoff series currently in various stages of production.

In 2023, Fear the Walking Dead will return for its eighth and final season; The Walking Dead: Dead City will premiere in June, with The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon premiering in the year’s second half. In 2024 fans can anticipate the debut of Summit, a series that will see Rick and Mchonne return to The Walking Dead universe.
