Tales of the Walking Dead’s Lauren Glazier joins Wonder Man cast

Mindhunters actress Lauren Glazier starred in an episode of the anthology series Tales of the Walking Dead titled “Dee.” Glazier’s character Brooke came up against Samthan Morton’s Dee, best known as Alpha, and the results were less than pleasant. Now Deadline reports that Glazier has joined the Marvel/Disney+ series Wonder Man cast.
The series has been in limbo for quite some time, but this new casting announcement sets things back on track. Created by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for The Glass Castle and Just Mercy, the series will be written by Andrew Guest, known for Hope & Faith and 30 Rock.
The Photograph director Stella Meghie has been set t direct several episodes, and Cretton will also direct. Cretton and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will serve as executive producers.
According to the IMDB description, Wonder Man tells of Simon Williams as a Hollywood actor who acquires the ionic talent of extreme strength and becomes Wonder Man. In the comics, Williams goes to work for Baron Zemo, a villain who gives him his power. Once an adversary of the Avengers, Wonder Man eventually comes alongside them and fights with them.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will portray Simon Williams/Wonder Man. Ben Kingsley has been cast as Trevor Slattery, a role he first played in Iron Man 3 and then two other times in Marvel One-Shot All Hail the King and the film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Glazier’s role details have been kept under wraps. Recently rumors have circulated that the Fear the Walking Dead actor Demetrius Grosse is being eyed to play Eric Williams/Grim Reaper, Simon’s brother.

Glazier is well known for her role as Kay Manz in the Netflix original series Mindhunter. She has also starred in Gone Girl, See, Grace and Frankie, and The Chicago 8.
