Walking Dead universe: Aisha Tyler new thriller, The Last Thing He Told Me

Aisha Tyler is a person who has worn several different hats within The Walking Dead universe. She has directed episodes of Fear the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead, and The Walking Dead: World Beyond.  She also portrayed a character named Mickey on Fear TWD during season 7. Next, she will star in a new series for AppleTV called The Last Thing He Told Me.

The miniseries created by Laura Dave and Josh Springer is based on a novel written by Dave, who happens to be the spouse of Singer.  The series is produced by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine and directed by Olivia Newman (Where the Crawdads Sing). Witherspoon, Dave, Singer Newman, and Lauren Neustadter will executive produce.

The story follows Hannah, who, while searching for her husband, who has mysteriously disappeared, forms an unexpected attachment with her 16-year-old stepdaughter.

Tyler plays Jules, best friend to Jennifer Garner’s Hannah, and are joined by Angourie Rice, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Geoff Stults, John Harlan Kim, and Augusto Aguilera. Josh Hamilton, a fellow Walking Dead actor, also stars.

The thriller series will release on Apple TV+ on April 14, 2023.

Aisha Tyler – other roles

Tyler has a long-running career as an actress, comedian, director, author, and talk show host. She was the host of Talk Soup in 2001 and then The Talk for seven years, where she was awarded an Emmy for her work. Check out her memoir, Self-Inflicted Wounds: Heartwarming Tales of Epic Humiliation. 

She is well known for her voice work in Archer as Lana Kane and her roles in Criminal Minds, Axis, How to Ruin the Holidays, Friends, The Boys, BoJack Horseman, 24 Ghost Whisperer, Modern Family, and more.
