Fans of Daryl Dixon, a character made famous in The Walking Dead series, are excited to see the spinoff series that will follow Daryl to France. Portrayed by Norman Reedus since season 1 of the long-running series, Daryl quickly became a fan favorite. This is due to the talents of Reedus and his welcoming attitude towards his fans. While fans are excited to see the next chapter in Daryl’s story, many feel it won’t be complete without his best friend, Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride), at his side. But new details about the have fans excited that McBride could e returning to The Walking Dead universe sooner than expected.

A French website, Le Pays Malouin, has announced that filming for the Daryl Dixon series will occur in Saint-Malo, a port city in northwest France, and the  Quelmer la Passagère neighborhood. The site also stated, “Filming in Quelmer will be in the presence of a famous actress, but we don’t know her name yet.” This has TWD fans excited that this actress is McBride.

The site speculates that it could be Clémence Poésy, a famous French actress who had previously been announced for the series. The story goes on to say that filming in Quelmer will take place on May 11, 2023, with 150-200 people from the production company will be present.

While there has been no official announcement from AMC, it appears that The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has begun filming for its second season. This could indicate that McBride was able to join the cast after bowing out of the first season for personal reasons.

Several cast members of Daryl Dixon have posted on social media regarding production for the second season, including stunt performer Fred Guerin.  Actress Faustine Surmont posted a photo of herself with Reedus with the caption stating, “See you soon,” which made many fans ask if a second season was coming.

The Sun Journal out of Lewiston, Maine, has reported that two newspaper pages have been requested for a flashback scene for the Daryl Dixon series. The scene will be set in 2012 in Maine and revolve around an abandoned car.

It will be exciting to find out if McBride is involved in the second season of the series, and it would delight fans to see Carol and Daryl together again. Especially after that heartbreaking goodbye they shared in the last episode of The Walking Dead series.
