The Walking Dead VoxEdit contest by The Sandbox
By Renee Hansen
Creative Walking Dead fans, here is an excellent opportunity to showcase your talents. The Sandbox, a virtual gaming world that sees players build, own and monetize their gaming experience is hosting a Walking Dead VoxEdit design contest. Fans will have the opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind voxel asset.
Submissions opened on May 1, 2023, and close on May 14 at 11:59 p.m. UTC with results announced on June 3. Fans can show off their creativity, love of The Walking Dead, and voxel art. Anyone interested in participating can download the VoxEdit software and create VoxEdit software and begin creating something amazing.
To submit your entry, create a GIF of your fully animated asset and tweet mentioning @VoxEdit, and @TheSandboxGame on Twitter including the hashtag #VoxEditWeekly. To finalize your submission use the Google Forms Submission Link.
Submissions will be judged on the following:
- Creativity – how creative based on The Walking Dead theme?
- Usability – how usable in other games?
- Optimization – does the asset look optimized in the Sandbox Game?
- Level of detail – how detailed is the asset?
- Quality of Animation – How good are the animations?
The scale will range from 1 to 5, with one being “very poor” and five being “very good.”
