Who played Sophia on The Walking Dead?

The Walking Dead series concluded its 12-year run in November 2022. This series extended its story across eleven seasons and, like any long-running series had high and low points. Most fans can agree that the early seasons are the best and have a soft spot for the characters featured in the stories told at the beginning of the series. One character who died in season 2 that will always be remembered fondly is Sophia Peletier.
Sophia was the daughter of daughter of Ed (Adam Marinovich) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) and was a dear friend of Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs). Her father was abusive to her and her mother, making Sophia a quiet and reserved child. She enjoyed playing with Carl and doing schoolwork as time allowed.
In season 2 Sophia was spooked by some walkers who were part of a horde on the highway and she would run off into the woods. Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) found her and who tells her to hide until he returns. She is never seen again, even after extensive search parties are sent out. To the horror of her mother and everyone else, she was discovered as a walker in Hershel’s (Scot Wilson) barn. Rick had to be the one to put her down, as no one else had the stomach to handle the task.
Which actress played Sophia on The Walking Dead?
Madison Lintz portrayed Sophia in seasons 1 and 2 of The Walking Dead. Lintz began her acting career at the tender age of six, working in commercials. The Walking Dead would be her first big break, leading to many other roles. Her brothers Matt and Macsen portrayed Henry in The Walking Dead and have also gone on to other parts. Her mother, Kelly Collins Lintz, and sister Mackenzie, also act.
Madison Lintz is well known for her role as Maddie on Bosch and the spinoff Bosch: Legacy. She has also starred in Sid Roth’s Supernatural, Nashville, American Judy, After, Parental Guidance, and Along Came the Devil.
