Fear the Walking Dead began its final season with a solid opening episode on May 14. The episode “Remember What They Took From You” started soon after the events of the season 7 finale, with Morgan (Lennie James) and Madison (Kim Dickens) arriving at PADRE to rescue Mo. Things didn’t go as planned, and the story jumps ahead seven years. The next episode will feature June, and AMC has released a sneak peek.

This week’s episode, “Blue Jay,” is currently available on AMC+ and will air on AMC on May 21 at 9 p.m. ET. Next, viewers will see what June (Jenna Elfman) has been up to since she was last seen fleeing Texas in rafts with the other survivors.

A new clip released by AMC (below) shows that June meets up with an unwelcome visitor, Adrian (Jonathan Median), looking for his daughter. The synopsis reveals she has left PADRE for her own safety and seeking solitude. She encounters Adrian but also has an unwelcome reunion with some familiar faces. June has set off on her own in the past, but it has had negative results.

Fear the Walking Dead season 8

The first episode of Fear the Walking Dead season 8 revealed that after PADRE discovered the survivors on the rafts, many of the group weren’t discovered. Morgan mentioned that he doesn’t know where Strand (Colman Domingo), Luciana (Danay Garcia), and Daniel (Ruben Blades) are but he most likely encountered June before she fled PADRE.

Morgan is wrestling with his conscience and his job as a collector for PADRE, where he took children from their parents. But, unknown to the organization, he would only take the children parents willingly gave up, hoping for a better life for them. In the first episode, he was relieved of his position.

This week more information will be revealed about PADRE and June’s role in the organization.
