The third episode of Fear the Walking Dead’s eighth and final season is titled “Odessa” and will air on AMC+ on Thursday, May 25, and AMC on Sunday, May 28, at 9 p.m. ET. The first two episodes of this season have been met with favorable reviews, and viewers are hopeful that the trend continues.
“Odessa” was written by showrunners Andrew Chambliss & Ian Goldberg and directed by TWD veteran Ron Underwood. This episode will see Mo (Zoey Merchant) dig deeper into the true intentions of PADRE, which finds her in over her head. She will learn more about the secrets and deception of the adults who care for her.
The trailer for this episode shows that Mo has the help of Dove (Jayla Walton) on her journey to discover the truth. Shrike (Maya Eshet) becomes involved, as does another new character Diane (Jennifer Christa Palmer), who is in league with a man known as the commander, who appears to be Daniel Salazar (Ruben Blades). Is this trailer trickery, or is Daniel in charge of the resistance since he was on the walkie talking to Adrian (Jonathan Medina) in episode 2?

This episode will also feature Madison (Kim Dickens) in Shrike’s house of horrors train hospital, where she has June conducting experiments on walker bite victims which currently includes Finch (Gavin Warren), who is Dwight (Austin Amelio), and Sherry (Christine Evangelista) son.
The newest images for Fear the Walking Dead 803 “Odessa” leave out Daniel, but he is certainly featured in the trailer. It is exciting to begin to see more and more of the main group of survivors.
