Walking Dead’s Bryan McClure is the Headless Knight in Haunted Mansion

Walking Dead actor, Bryan McClure joined the series in its eleventh and final season. McClure was featured in episode 21, “Outpost 21,” as Engineer Wilson, a member of the Commonwealth. Looper was the first to report that McClure would play the Headless Knight in Haunted Mansion. 

The Disney horror comedy film Haunted Mansion is directed by Justin Simien, known for Dear White People, from the screenplay by Katie Dippold, who was a writer on the NBC series Parks and Recreation. This is the second film adaptation of Walt Disney’s theme park attraction, The Haunted Mansion, the first of which came out in 2003.

This story follows a single mom, Gabbie, and her son Travis as they hire a   tour guide, a psychic, a priest, and a historian to exorcise their mansion inhabited by ghosts.

Haunted Mansion will release in theaters on July 18, 2023.

The film features an all-star cast including Rosario Dawson, LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, Dan Levy, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jared Leto, Winona Ryder, and Chase W. Dillon.

McClure will play the Headless Knight, a character who appeared in the original theme park attraction graveyard scene. He shared the news on social media.

The teaser trailer is an excellent look at what’s to come with this new movie. It is eerily accompanied by Roy Orbison’s 1975 song “House Without Windows,” while melancholy in nature, set to the horror film trailer, gives off a spooky vibe.

McClure is known for his roles in Class of ’09, The Summer I Turned Pretty, Covenant, Horror Noire, Mindhunter, In Other Words, Doom Patrol, and more. He also stars in Space Command with Ethan McDowell, a fellow Walking Dead actor who played the Reaper named Washington.

He has several upcoming projects listed on IMDB, including Dirty Cues, Christmas at Keestone, Remote, Basement, and more.
