The fourth episode of Fear the Walking Dead’s eighth and final season gave fans all the nostalgia and emotions by returning Morgan (Lennie James) to Georgia. The episode was titled “King County” and saw the character return to the location where he first met Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and endured massive grief over the loss of his family in the first season of The Walking Dead.

This article contains spoilers for Fear the Walking Dead season 8, episode 4, “King County.”

Morgan returned to the house he living in with his son Duane (Adrian Kali Turner) and where he cared for Rick during the pilot episode of The Walking Dead. The main series told some of what Morgan experienced when Duane was attacked by his mother’s reanimated form, but it wasn’t clear whether Morgan put him down or allowed him to roam. “King County” explained everything Morgan went through, and he was able to piece together the events he forgot.

Morgan finally got closure in his family’s deaths and was able to lay them to rest side by side. It was a gut-wrenching episode full of nostalgia for the early days of the flagship series.

Just when things seem to be getting better for Morgan, he endures yet another blow. Grace (Karen David), after revealing that the radiation exposure has finally caught up her, is bitten by a walker. Now it is a race against time to get her back to PADRE for June’s (Jenna Elfman) treatment that seems to have worked wonders on Dwight (Austin Amelio) and Sherry’s (Christine Evangelista) son Finch (Gavin Warren).
