Walking Dead’s Steve Coulter Insidious The Red Door release date & more

She-Hulk Attorney at Law actor Steve Coulter is well known in The Walking Dead universe for portraying Reg Monroe, a resident of Alexandria. Coulter has had many memorable roles throughout his career, including Father Gordon in The Conjuring universe and Carl in Insidious Chapters 2 & 3. Now Coulter will appear in the new Insidious: The Red Door movie.
Patrick Wilson, who plays Josh Lambert in the Insidious movies, makes his directorial debut in the next movie in the franchise. Insidious: The Red Door is the fifth film in the franchise and is a direct sequel to Insidious (2010) and Insidious: Chapter 3 (2013). The screenplay is written by Scott Teems (Halloween Kills & Firestarter (2022)) from the story by Leigh Whannel, who has written many Saw movies and four the previous four Insidious movies.
This story is set 10 years after the second film when Josh drops his son Dalton at his ivy league university. Dalton and Josh are haunted by repressed demons from the past which requires them to return to the Further and put their demons to rest, once and for all.

Wilson will reprise his role as Josh; also returning are Rose Byrne as Renai, Ty Simpkins as Dalton, Lin Shaye as Elise, and Andrew Astor as Foster. Hiam Abbass, Sinclair Daniel, Peter Dager, and Jarquez McClendon will also join the cast in this film.
According to Coulter’s Instagram post (above), he will “pay a little visit” to the film.

What else does Steve Coulter star in?
Recently Coulter starred in Netflix’s We Have a Ghost with Anthony Mackie and David Harbour and Prime Video’s Shotgun Wedding with Jennifer Lopez, Josh Duhamel and Jennifer Coolidge. He also stars in Charlie Day’s film Fool’s Paradise.
Next, he will star in the dramedy, Hangdog, which is directed by Matt Cascella and also stars Desmin Borges, Kelly O’Sullivan, Barbara Rosenblat, and Catherine Curtin. This movie tells of an anxiety-ridden 30-something who embarks on a journey through Portland, Main, to recover his stolen dog before his girlfriend returns, and he risks losing them both.
He will also star in Walden, a movie written and directed by Mick Davis and starring Emile Hirsch.
