Walking Dead actor Avi Nash stars in Black Mirror season 6

Silo actor Avi Nash portrayed Siddiq in seasons 8-10  of The Walking Dead series. Siddiq met his demise in season 10 at the hands of Dante (Juan Javier Cardenas), a member of the Whisperers who infiltrated Alexandria. Nash now stars in the sixth season of Black Mirror. 

Black Mirror is a  science fiction anthology series created by Charlie Brooker that has recently released its sixth season on Netflix. Inspired by The Twilight Zone, Black Mirror began airing on British Channel 4 before moving to Netflix in season 3. The episodes can be watched in any order, often have unhappy endings, and are set in dystopian futuristic worlds.

Nash stars in season 6, episode 1, “Joan is Awful,” which focuses on Joan, a woman described as “average” who experiences personal struggles but discovers her life has been adapted into a TV show, “Joan is Awful,” on Streamberry.

The episode stars Annie Murphy as Joan, Salma Hayek Pinault, who plays the TV version of Joan, along with Michael Cera, Himesh Patel, Wunmi Mosaku, Lolly Adefope, Rob Delaney, Ben Barnes, Jared Goldstein, Jaboukie Young-White, Ayo Edebiri, and Camirin Farmer. Nash plays Joan’s fiance, Krish, who gets front-row seats in Joan’s show and is included in the TV show where Hamish Patel plays the TV version.

What else does Avi Nash star in?

Nash recently starred in the AppleTV+ series Silo, created by Graham Yost (Justified), based on the novel series by Hugh Howey. Set in a dystopian future where residents live hundreds of stories underground to protect themselves from whatever is going on above.

He also starred in a movie There, There, with fellow TWDU actor Lennie James (Morgan Jones on TWD and Fear TWD). This romantic comedy was filmed during the pandemic; each actor filmed their parts individually.

This December, he will star in a movie, Braid, which also stars Kim Raver, Katherine King So, and Sarah Abbot, which follows three women bonded by something intimate and unique, though they have never met.

Nash is also known for his roles in Barry, Silicon Valley, and It’s a Man’s World.
