Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon rumors: Melissa McBride joins cast of season 2

Fans of Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) were heartily disappointed when McBride had to bow out of the spinoff series for personal reasons. The spinoff became The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, and filming for the first season wrapped in May 2023. Soon after, rumors that season 2 had begun filming, without any announcements from AMC. Now reports are circulating social media, even from fellow TWD actor and friend Jeffrey Dean Morgan, that McBride will join the series in its second season.

Fans are overjoyed to see images of Daryl and Carol back together, as they should be. It appears Carol will be joining him in France for the next chapter of their stories.
The duo was last seen together in the final episode of The Walking Dead, where they said a heartbreaking goodbye. Reedus and McBride gave their everything in this scene, knowing how much these characters mean to many fans.
Now they will be back together, and seeing how she finds him overseas will be interesting.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan posted on Twitter in the way only he can. He kept it real and shared his happiness at seeing the two actors together again.
AMC officially announced McBride will join Reedus in the second season of the series which has the titled The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol. The upcoming season has alread begun production and is set to relese in 2024.
